Now is the time to be applying your pre-emergent and shrub fertilizers
There a lot of options for pre-emergent, but we use and recommend XL2G. As far as shrub fertilizer goes, we recommend using a 12-6-6 or 14-7-7 slow release blend. March is also a great time to do any renewal pruning on shrubs to get them back in shape and natural growing habit.
